Summer warm-up day at Harrisville

Chris, Tim and Baker at the bottom of the Bluff. Is that Baker on his goddam cell? Jeez ...

Tim prepares to drop-in at Baker's Bluff.

Harrisville Pond up lower Oswego River / less than 3'/ about 75 cfs / 85 degrees

With water levels being ridiculously low, we decided to just take a quick and easy trip from Harrisville Pond to upstream lower Oswego. The goal being to work some bugs out, catch a buzz and drop in at Baker's Bluff. The crew -- Baker, Tim, me and Chris -- headed out up Red Road in Baker's truck, taking the scenic route.

It was a great day. We saw a few other paddlers and for the most part had the bluff to ourselves. No bugs. It was Chris' first day out in a long time, so that in itself made the trip cool.
There were a bunch of folks at the beach at Harrisville (even saw my old babysitter, Denise and her husband on the way out).

Me and Baker double-team his self-titled "bluff" July 22,2007 on the Oswego River, Chatsworth.
